House Tour

Here's a peek inside our little home. We bought this house back in 2007 as a builders closeout. We didn't get to choose the interior like other custom built house but we were the first people to live here. Believe it or not, it was cheaper than any other home in the area too. Our backyard now has grass (unlike that picture) and it has a little bit of woods that separate us and a retirement home so we know there won't be any construction going on behind us or on either side of us since we have houses on either side.

When you walk into the front door, you are in the living room which opens to the kitchen and to the bedrooms. I'm starting you in the kitchen so you can get a better idea of the flow.

Can you tell what appliance didn't come with the house? The big black fridge was too good of a sale for two new home buyers not to pick up. So he stands out just a little bit.

Behind the white doors on the left would be a nice place for a large pantry but... it's my laundry instead. It still works, it very centralized and for this small family it works. One day I'll get a quiet washer and dryer but we're pretty used to drowning out toddler toy noise anyway!

By the way, if you couldn't tell I'm pretty excited for that closet to be done organized. I'll feature it's before and after soon. This is our living room, don't know why it's kind of yellowed out. The wall is a deep red and the others are a tan greenish color.

This is Kaden's room. It tiny but so cute! It'll probably change in a few months when he moves to a big boy bed (*tear*)

Master bed... that bed looks so comfy

This is the master bath, connected to our room.

This is the guest bath/ Kaden's bathroom.

So what's behind door number 3? This is our guest bedroom/ office/ black hole. This is where everything gets throw into until someone comes and visits (which is often, both grandparent live far away and are quite eager to come visit that cute little guy)

Yes, everyone cringe together. I feel like I'm showing a deep-dark secret! It's a work in progress right now. I've been in a purge phase so I'm getting rid of a bunch of junk in hopes we can use this room as a nursery some day (not yet!).

Well, there you have it! I'll keep this updated with all the little changes we make. Keep checking!
